10 Years of Ableton
2009 marks the tenth anniversary of Ableton. The beloved company is celebrating with some new products and some great promotions.
- Ableton Live Intro: Forget LE. Forget “Live Lite.” Intro is all the essentials of Live in a cheaper box/download. If you own LE, you can download Intro for free. Check out the website and video Ableton set up at http://www.ableton.com/live-intro
- Novation Launchpad: It’s out, and it’s awesome (hint: stay tuned for my review of the Launchpad within the coming weeks). It’s available now from just about any major retailer for $199. http://www.ableton.com/launchpad
- Max For Live: It’s in beta right now and will be out on November 23. Can’t wait! http://www.ableton.com/maxforlive
- Live/Suite 8 Rebates: $100 rebate on Live 8 and $150 rebate on Suite 8 from today until January 15, 2010. If you were looking for a reason to buy Suite 8, this is as good as it’s going to get.
- 10 Free Live Packs: Tons of different sound sculpting options for absolutely free. Don’t miss this. http://www.ableton.com/able10-artist-packs
Lots of exciting new things happening at Ableton. Aside from all that, word has it that Ableton is in works with Serato to either a) develop new software/hardware or b) add additional functionality to Live. Ableton is “very excited” about the partnership and while nothing is for certain yet, we should see more information on this product in the coming months. Stay tuned!
