Mackie’s ready to unleash hi-def live sound onto the world with their new HD1521 and HD1531 powered loudspeakers. Lets check out the specs for these beasts:

• 1521 is 2way, 1531 3way
• Class D
• 1800W peak
• Digital built-in crossovers
• 1521: 15″ neodymium woofers & 1.75″ heat-treated titanium compression driver
• 1531: the above is also in the 1531, but this model also features a 6″ midrange driver and Mackie’s optimized WaveFront™ mid/high horn system…whatever that is.
• Both models have a 3-band EQ
• 12 integral fly-points for horizontal or vertical rigging and both models are pole-mountable

Both sound pretty feature packed. I wonder if there will be some subs added to this line sooner or later?

The 1521 and 1531 will be available in May of this year in the Americas and Asia and in June for Europe. MSRP for 1521 is $1,249.99 while the 1531s will go for around $1,499.99.
