Lego Recording Console

I’m not entirely sure why I bothered to do this, but I downloaded the Lego custom kit designer. I figured I could toy around with ideas for my Lady’s nephew who apparently has large colored brick collection. Once I had it open, I couldn’t resist the urge to make some audio nerd stuff in lego bricks.
So here’s my take on a large-format recording console made of legos:
Lego Console! from Sanjay Patel on Vimeo.
Recording Console Designed out of Lego bricks! Designed in the Lego Digital Designer (free download over oat lego.com). Just a little fun video of the console coming together with a phat beat to boot.
Not sure why you’d want to, but you can download that video here.
Feature
s Include:
- Plastic Faders
- Led Meters
- VU meter’s for L-R bus
- Dedicated Center Section
- Zero Power Consumption (A Green Console)
But wait, it gets better. Apparently you can upload the model to lego.com and actually buy the custom kit. Actually, on second thought, that’s probably the whole reason they made the modeler. Well, if anyone wants to buy me one, they can find it here. Only$8.74 plus shipping. Note: We’re not sponsored by Lego, I just think this is awesome… although, if you’re reading this, Lego, we’d love host some ads for you in exchange for a steady supply of multi-colored plastic bricks.
Well, off to bed. Tomorrow I promise: we will post something more technical and dry.
