Found on CrunchGear: Solid State External Drives
Found on CrunchGear a review for 120GB USB 2.0 Solid-State Drive. Not exactly the most exciting kind of gear, but if you’re a recording music and stable, portable backups are important to you, I suggest keeping an eye on drives like this.
Our normal spinning drives may be cheaper, but one solid thump or two-foot drop can mean the end of your precious data. Solid state drives don’t have the moving parts (this one doesn’t use a fan either) and thus are a lot more sturdy for thumping around. This is going tobe especially great tech for bands/musicians who gig with hard drives or compute, because it takes one more worry out of the equation.

Mmmm. Those would be awesome for recording. But I’ll wait for it to not be $600.
